Halloween and Me
I love Halloween, it’s the one day I can be me.
All year long I try to be the one you want to see.
On Halloween I can just be me.
There are no bad habits I need to hide.
I lose fifty pounds, drooping eyes open wide.
I let my phobias show outside.
It is so scary, all the kids scream.
I shoot at them with my laser beam.
Then I wake up, it’s just a dream.
Halloween…

“Who’s that man in the lantern beam,
Looking for an honest man?”
