The International Space Station We held hands in the night Watching the horizon For a dot of light That suddenly appeared. We watched with delight And we inhaled sharply As the dot took flight, Arching above us. They were in our sight And we gazed in awe Of the astronaut’s plight, Circling the Earth far above. Forever we held each other tight. Passed the stars and moon We watched the journey of the satellite, And we felt small, but our love grew.
