Hall Monitor Lizard Video: http://youtu.be/_LWjs4BRv6s
Today I was a hall monitor at UHS. This was a little strange because I was never allowed to be a hall monitor when I was in school. I put blinders on, but three kids turned themselves in to me for being late for class and asked for detention slips. Actually, one of them was sent to me by the classroom teacher who would not let him in without a detention slip. I looked at the form later and noticed his name was Zeezee Topp. Pretty cool. His parents must have been hippies.
I read a few pretty heavy Mexican short stories (in English) and then watched the paint dry for a couple of hours.
When I tired of that I made a movie about hall monitor lizards. The final cut is posted here.
The last period I was stationed by the front entrance. In the cabinet behind me was a bust of Abraham Lincoln by world renowned artist Frank Gallo. His work sells for $1,000’s. Frank’s studio was down the street from Sidney Grade School where I taught for many years. His son was the delivery boy at Service Liquor Store when I worked there. I wonder if students have looked up information about Frank. He is best known for his female nudes and has been featured in Playboy several times.
