I’m working on my Master Naturalist Certification. While walking the dog just before dawn this morning I made a big breakthrough. I discovered a new constellation in the south eastern sky. In honor of all the insects I see around the Dogbane when it is in bloom, I am naming the constellation The Butterfly. If you are out shortly before dawn this month, look for the butterfly about 30 degrees up in the south east. Unfortunately I don’t have a camera that can take pictures of the stars so I have drawn a picture.
